Nostalgia
I miss having a sense of family with others who are not blood related. The military has taken our little family away from our real family, and placed us in a different environment, where I know I should try with all my strength to "Bloom Where I am Planted", but find the struggle of it too overwhelming. I'd like to return to my comfort zone, where I've already made my connections and established a Christ Connection with my great friends back home. I'm missing the family gatherings that take me back to my childhood, and make me feel so warm and loved. I know Christ calls us to reach out to those who need Him, I just don't know where to start. I have an unfortunate number of friends who have fallen, and have given up hope that the struggle is even worth their time. I feel so fortunate to have the faith I do, and I do want to share it with others around me... I just don't know what to say. I'm so afraid of rejection, and offending them, that I let it stand in my way... THEIR way. What a coward I am. Jesus was not a coward. He died for me... for all of us. He lived this life. He knows the struggles we go through down here, and I'm sure he's passed along the message to the Big Man Upstairs. God will have mercy on you, if you turn away from your sins and seek Him. That doesn't mean you are to be perfect or go to Hell. It means God just wants you to have love for yourself, each other, His creation, and Him. It's amazing how intricate this world is. God made it all himself. Everything that can be "explained" by science is all God's work. He wants us to continue to learn and grow in awe of his creation... why wouldn't he give us a multitude of things to continue our learning? There are thousands of ways to grow closer to God, all you have to do is find your way. It can be so personalized! What ever makes you happy... truely happy... you can use to bring you closer to God.
